Holden won the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Academy_Award_for_Best_Actor\">Academy Award for Best Actor<\/a> for the film <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stalag_17\">Stalag 17<\/a><\/em> (1953) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Primetime_Emmy_Award_for_Outstanding_Lead_Actor_in_a_Limited_or_Anthology_Series_or_Movie\">Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie<\/a> for <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Blue_Knight_(film)\">The Blue Knight<\/a><\/em> (1973).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Holden starred in some of Hollywood&#8217;s most popular and critically acclaimed films, including <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sunset_Boulevard_(film)\">Sunset Boulevard<\/a><\/em> (1950), <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sabrina_(1954_film)\">Sabrina<\/a><\/em> (1954), <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Picnic_(1955_film)\">Picnic<\/a><\/em> (1955), <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Bridge_on_the_River_Kwai\">The Bridge on the River Kwai<\/a><\/em> (1957), <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Wild_Bunch\">The Wild Bunch<\/a><\/em> (1969) and <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Network_(1976_film)\">Network<\/a><\/em> (1976).
